Our Wedding 3.18.18
Our wedding day, a day we had been looking forward to for so long! This day came and went so quickly but we enjoyed every minute of it! So much planning goes into this day, from the venue to the food, and everything in-between! We had so much help from friends and family but we really owe it all to Perfectly Poised Events, for almost a year we worked closely with them to get every detail of the wedding day just right. If we had any advise to an engaged couple it's to make sure and take each other aside some point during the night, go somewhere quiet where it is just the two of you alone and enjoy that moment, take in the day together. We made this a priority as you don't get much alone time all throughout the day and it was honestly one of the most special and beautiful moments of the whole day!
Getting Ready
Waking up the morning of the wedding day was so exciting and felt like it took forever!! As the bride and groom, you do a lot of "relaxing" the whole morning and then once the wedding starts it all flies by! Blake and I always joke that we wished the wedding could have started at 10 am so we could celebrate for the whole day and spend more time together during it. Jamie and her bridesmaids got ready at an amazing suite at The Culver Hotel in Hollywood. This room was so amazing and perfect for photos! We easily fit 8 girls in the room and had plenty of space to do all the hair and makeup prep that we needed. Blake and his groomsmen stayed at a place in Hollywood as well that made it easy for everyone to get to the venue!
Some fun details of Jamie's look were her robes which designed by Daphne Newman, they met a few times over the year to get the robes perfect! We picked out a special lace to go on the sleeves of the robes, and Daphne handmade every single robe! With beautiful Italian lace, hand embellishments and every robe fitted to it's girl. These robes were such a dream to get ready in and look stunning!! Adding a little "sparkle" while getting ready, we added some amazing handmade crowns by MJF Bridal, the bridal party had identical crowns and Jamie's was a little more detailed and bigger (because duh she's the bride). To finish off the getting ready look, Bella Belle designed beautiful bridal sandals for Jamie to wear that completed the whole ensemble.
Jamie's bridal makeup was done beautifully by an amazing artist here in Los Angeles, Angela Alessi. Jamie wanted a "bronzed beach" look for her day, and Angela did just that! With loose curls and bronzer to make her look tan, it was the perfect bridal look! The bridesmaids hair and makeup was done by Taryn & Her Team.
Something Old & Borrowed
Jamie's Necklace for the wedding day was passed down through 3 generations and her shoes were her mothers wedding shoes from 30 years ago.
Something Blue
We actually got my something blue from Etsy, a matching set of garters to wear and toss at the end of the night! They were really cheap to purchase and are great quality!
Something New
Jamie's dress is by Lazaro, she worked alongside the design team to create a custom top to the dress by adding an open back and open neckline. Jamie wanted a comfortable dress that wasn't too heavy or over bearing, and this dress was just a dream! Lace played a huge role in the decision making, Jamie's love for vintage lace over the years really inspired this dress and Lazaro had the perfect style!

First Looks & Wedding Party
We decided to do a first look instead of waiting until the ceremony to see each other for the first time. This was one of our favorite moments of the day, no one else around, and getting to cry in each others arms because we were so happy to finally see each other! After having to wait all day long to finally see each other, you really can't help but CRY! I of course let my dad see me first, out of respect for being daddy's little girl for all those years, its is honestly such a special moment between father and daughter that I will treasure forever!
Our wedding party are some of our long time friends from all over the world! Blake's friends came from Australia, Jamie's came from all over California, it was so special for us to have all our friends in one place for the night!

The Ceremony
The part we have all been waiting for!! This was honestly the fastest part of the whole day, you really think you will remember it all, but it goes by in seconds! While Jamie walked down the isle, Blake cried and so did everyone in the crowd, we decided to have a more intimate wedding, totaling 27 guests. Having a small wedding was never really what we wanted, but due to everyone being from all over the world, it was just PERFECT! Our families got to meet for the first time, spend quality time together and really enjoy the night.
As we exchanged vows in front of everyone we love, we were finally MARRIED!!!!!
The beautiful floral archway by Joy of Bloom Florals was such a stunning piece to have during this moment, they really captured everything Jamie had envisioned and brought it all to life, as well as tying all the same flowers into the bouquets, center pieces & details around the event to make everything come together.
The Details
All the details for our wedding started back with the invitations by Minted that were addressed beautifully by Double Dipped Calligraphy, our guests all were so amazed at how stunning these invitations were when they arrived in the mail, a special hand written address really goes a long way!
Once our guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted by a beautiful handmade box by Sketch & Etch Creative that was for wedding cards. They made this box with our new last name on it and even made it gold to match the wedding colors! We loved taking this home at the end of the night and seeing all the amazing cards we received.

The Party
After all the craziness was over we finally got to party!! We danced in as Mr. & Mrs. Mansfield to our favorite song "I Want Crazy" by Hunter Hayes. Our amazing DJ for the night VOX DJ's definitely kept everything on time, played the best playlists and everyone loved them! Above the whole reception area we had the most breathtaking light display by Lights for Nights, they hung amazing twinkling lights above the whole event so that we didn't need actual lights, and it was nice and warm light without being too much.
The tables were all covered in the most beautiful linens by BBJ Linen who fulfilled all Jamie's velvet dreams by draping these amazing fabrics over everything. All the tables, chairs, plates & cups were all hand picked out at the amazing Archive Rentals, they have such a great assortment of basically anything you could want! We went with more vintage styled cups and plates, and kept all the tables and chairs with the same theme but added comfort! The sweetheart table was our favorite part!!! This was such a surprise to us because we didn't know it was going to be there, but the beautiful sweetheart chair, circle table and hanging flowers was everything we could have dreamed of and more!!
Once all the speeches were said, food was finally served, drinks started during and we all danced the night away. We love doing photo booths at any change we can, so we of course HAD to have one at our wedding! The Foto Vibe crew worked so hard to make sure everyone took photos together with the cutest props! We are so glad we did this because we had so many photos to look at the next day and reminisce about the night we had! Our Photo Booth backdrop was custom designed by Un Semplice Si who we found on Etsy to make our amazing backdrop!
As the night was coming to an end, we still had to cut our cake!! This cake was everything Jamie had ever wanted, simple yet covered in FLOWERS (hence the theme of the entire day) Elise Cakes made 3 different flavors of cakes so that all the guests would be pleased. Red velvet (Jamie's favorite) chocolate mud cake (Blake's favorite) and of course vanilla! Not only did Elise make an amazing cake that looked and tasted like pure heaven, she went above and beyond to cover the desserts table in some of our favorite goodies! She made an assortment of donuts, oreo gems, and cupcakes that really were the hit of the party!
Our wedding day is a day that we will never forget, having all of our family and friends in one place to celebrate our love is something we will cherish forever! We want to thank everyone who made this day possible and for all the hard work that went into planning it!!
Xoxo,
J & B
